A 47-year-old Indian pharmacist identified as K. Sivanesan has died after he drank a chemical concoction which he claimed to be a new treatment for covid-19.
The Deputy Commissioner of Police, Ashok Kumar, said Sivanesan died immediately while his managing director fainted after tasting the chemical. Further investigation is on.
A media manager disclosed that Sivanesan disclosed he heard of medicine from U.S. President Donald Trump’s recent speech for curing the disease. He said it would bring immunity and help prevent the disease. Sivanesan hearing this, went to buy the powder and after trying it, he died.
